Subscription plans
Compare MerkatoHQ's Free, Pro, and Business seller plans — listing limits, commission rates, pricing tools, and promoted-listing credits.
Anyone can sell on MerkatoHQ for free. If you sell regularly, a paid seller plan lowers your commission and unlocks higher limits and tools that help you sell more. Billing is handled entirely in-app through Stripe — upgrade, downgrade, or cancel whenever you like.

Plan prices are shown when you compare and check out in-app. Active-listing counts include live and reserved items — not drafts or sold history.
What each perk means
- Active listings — how many items you can have live at once. Free is plenty for occasional sellers; Pro and Business are for people running real volume.
- Commission — the cut taken from each payout. On Free it’s the standard tapered rate; paid plans replace it with a lower flat rate, which is where a subscription starts to pay for itself.
- Seller pricing tools — sold-comparable data, a recommended price, and demand signals to help you price to sell.
- Full sales dashboard — charted performance over time, versus a basic snapshot on Free.
- Promoted-listing credits — featured-placement slots granted each billing period to give chosen listings more visibility.
How billing works
- Plans are billed monthly or yearly through Stripe, managed inside MerkatoHQ — no separate Stripe login.
- Upgrading takes effect right away; downgrading or cancelling keeps your current plan until the end of the period you’ve paid for, then drops you to the tier below (or Free).
- Your card is charged automatically each period until you cancel.
Which plan is right for you?
Do the math against your typical sales:
- Free — you sell occasionally and stay under ~10 live listings.
- Pro — you sell steadily; the drop from the standard rate to 6% plus the pricing tools outweighs the subscription price.
- Business — selling is your business; 3.5% commission, unlimited listings, and 10 promoted credits a period are built for high volume.
Rule of thumb: a paid plan makes sense once the commission you save each month is more than the subscription costs. If you sell a few hundred dollars a month, run the numbers on both — the lower rate adds up fast.
