Tax statements

Download a transaction statement of your sales and purchases for any period, and set the tax details that appear on it.

MerkatoHQ can produce a transaction statement — a PDF summarising your activity over a date range — so you have clean paperwork at tax time. It’s available to both sellers and buyers.

What’s in a statement

For the period you choose, the statement includes:

• A Sales section (items you sold) and a Purchases section (items you bought), itemised.
• Refunds and reversals shown separately, with a net-of-refunds total.
• Amounts grouped per currency, in the currency each order settled in.

It’s a summary for your own records and your accountant — not tax advice, and not an official tax document issued by MerkatoHQ.

Generating one

Go to the Reports page in the app:

1. Pick a period — use a preset (e.g. this quarter, this year) or a custom date range.
2. Review the on-screen per-currency preview.
3. Download PDF.

Your tax details

Under Settings → Tax details you can record the business identity that should appear on your statements — business name, tax ID / VAT number, and address. Fill these in before generating a statement if you need them on the document.
